Subscription Zombies: Stop Recurring Charges from Eating Your Money

Streaming services. Gaming memberships. Music apps. Cloud storage. That free trial you forgot you signed up for.

A few dollars here and there might not seem scary, but recurring subscriptions can keep coming back month after month, slowly taking a bite out of your balance.

Hunt Down the Zombies

Take a few minutes to look through your recent transactions and search for charges that repeat every month. Ask yourself:

  • Do I actually use this?
  • Is it worth what I'm paying?
  • Did a free trial turn into a paid subscription?
  • Could I cancel it and put that money toward something I really want?

Even canceling a $10 monthly subscription saves you $120 a year. Cancel two, and you could have an extra $240 for something bigger on your wish list.

Keep an Eye on Your Account

Make a habit of checking your account regularly. Online and mobile banking make it easy to see where your money is going and spot charges you may have forgotten about.

This Halloween, don't let subscription zombies eat away at your money. Track it. Cancel what you don't use. Save more for what matters to you.
